SENDsational Families CIC is a parent-led, community-driven organisation supporting families in Northamptonshire who are raising children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), with or without a formal diagnosis. Drawing on lived experience and professional expertise in healthcare and education, the organisation creates inclusive opportunities that nurture wellbeing, empower families and build community.
Its whole-family approach recognises the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of adults raising children with SEND. Activities include indoor Wellbeing Workshops, outdoor Wild Wellbeing experiences and online Worldwide Workshops. These welcoming spaces offer opportunities for connection, reflection, creativity and growth, with an uplifting focus on each family’s potential and individual journey.
Community and collaboration are central to SENDsational Families CIC. The organisation works alongside values-driven groups and businesses, and its work is supported by ethical memberships, voluntary, community and social enterprises, schools and businesses. It has also received funding from local and national organisations. Through inclusive workshops, outdoor activities and online gatherings, SENDsational Families CIC aims to strengthen connections and support positive change for SEND families.
