Externato Senhora do Carmo is an educational institution offering a continuous learning journey from early childhood through secondary education. Its provision begins with a nursery for children aged four to 36 months, followed by preschool for ages three to five. At primary level, the curriculum combines Portugal’s national curriculum with English, chess, experimental sciences and an integrated music project.
In the second and third cycles of basic education, the school places students at the centre of their learning and supports them in meeting contemporary challenges. Its programmes include English learning certification through Cambridge University Press and a digital transition initiative featuring digital textbooks, iPads and other educational resources. At secondary level, students can choose among Science and Technology, Socioeconomic Sciences, Languages and Humanities, and Visual Arts.
The school also offers vocational education, extracurricular enrichment activities and optional services. Families can find practical information about enrolment, fees, the school calendar, activities, examinations, textbooks, class directors and menus.
