About Seniors First BC
Seniors First BC is a charitable, non-profit society formerly known as the BC Centre for Elder Advocacy and Support. We offer information, legal advocacy, support, and referrals to older adults in British Columbia dealing with issues affecting their well-being or rights. Additionally, we assist those concerned about the welfare of older adults.
Our vision includes protecting the legal rights of older adults, increasing access to justice, informing the public about elder abuse, and providing supportive programs for those who have been abused. With more than 100 members throughout British Columbia, we are governed by a board of directors and carry out day-to-day operations with capable staff and volunteers. Our programs, such as the Seniors Abuse and Information Line, Victim Services, Elder Law Clinic, Advance Planning Clinics, and Legal Advocacy Program, provide a comprehensive approach to supporting older adults and those who care about them.
