The Spanish Society of Rheumatology (SER) was founded in 1948 with the aim of advancing the study of rheumatic diseases. Today, it boasts a membership of approximately 1,700 professionals, including rheumatologists, researchers, and specialists in related fields. SER is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting research, addressing issues in rheumatology, and advocating for the interests of the specialty within medicine.
The society is divided into two units: the Research Unit and the Knowledge Management Unit.
