SERC

SERC (South End Rowing Club) is a renowned brand that offers a wide range of sports and recreational activities. Established in 1873, near Third and Berry, this club has grown and evolved over the past century. After the devastating earthquake and fire, the clubhouse was relocated to Aquatic Park near North Beach, where it stands today.

What sets SERC apart is its commitment to inclusivity. In 1977, they became the first rowing club to welcome women as members, and now they make up a third of the 1,300+ member community. The club offers various sports including rowing, handball, swimming, and running, catering to participants at all levels.

From elite athletes like English Channel swimmers and national handball champions to recreational enthusiasts, everyone is embraced and supported at SERC. As a volunteer-run organization, SERC not only provides outstanding facilities but also fosters a sense of camaraderie and offers instruction to all members. Join SERC today and experience a vibrant community dedicated to sportsmanship and wellness
