Sociedad Ecuatoriana de Reanimación Cardiopulmonar (SERCA) is a non-profit Medical Scientific Society founded on August 13, 1997. With over 20 years of experience, SERCA has been dedicated to saving lives by providing training, education, and certification in pre-hospital victim management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and cerebrocardiovascular emergencies. As an accredited Training and Certification Center since 1998, SERCA follows the guidelines set by the American Heart Association (AHA) and offers internationally recognized courses that provide certification valid for two years.

In addition to AHA courses, SERCA also offers pre-hospital courses in partnership with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT). Their mission is to disseminate knowledge, train healthcare professionals, and empower the community to respond effectively to emergencies, with a focus on cerebral and cardiovascular diseases. By providing up-to-date information and evidence-based training, SERCA aims to save as many lives as possible.

They are recognized and endorsed by the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador, the Ministry of Labor, AHA, and NAEMT.
