Serra de Monchique Golf Club is a member-led golf club associated with Silves Golf Course in the Algarve, near the town of Silves. Founded in 2005 at Morgado de Reguengo, the club moved to Silves Course in 2006 and has since welcomed golfers from Portugal and Northern Europe. Its purpose is to organise golf competitions, administer members’ handicaps and foster a social community, guided by values and rules established by its membership.

The club offers regular play for golfers of different abilities, with competitions on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Tuesday events include singles formats such as monthly medals and Stableford qualifiers. Saturday fixtures feature varied formats, often involving pairs or teams, while some Thursday players choose to play at other courses in the Pestana group. The calendar also includes qualifying rounds, knockouts, interclub matches, tournaments and social gatherings. Members can use the club’s website to find competition results, event schedules, handicap information, local rules, club history and membership details.
