About ServicioPanamericano
Servicio Panamericano de Salud is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children suffering from malnutrition in the Yojoa Lake region of Honduras. Our mission is to provide nutritional rehabilitation for children and basic education for young people and adults. Through our programs, we aim to develop happy and productive children by offering comprehensive nutrition and quality education.
Our rehabilitation program focuses on providing medical and nutritional care to children under 5 years old, helping them overcome the effects of malnutrition and recover from it. We also prioritize education, offering support to low-income families, teaching them to read and write and providing them with technical knowledge to break the cycle of poverty.
At Servicio Panamericano de Salud, we believe in the power of volunteering, and we offer opportunities for students, individuals, and professionals to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged individuals and groups.
In 2020 alone, we were able to benefit 59 children through our Child Nutrition Program, provide assistance to 8,000 individuals affected by COVID-19, and offer emergency response to communities affected by hurricanes ETA and IOTA.
