About Setaweet
Setaweet is a contemporary feminist movement that was founded in 2014, with a focus on articulating Ethiopian feminism and fostering dialogue, research, and activism among Ethiopian women and men. The movement, which means ‘of woman’ in Amharic, strives to provide a platform for empowerment and engagement in the pursuit of gender equality and social justice. Setaweet offers a diverse range of projects and campaigns, along with a digital library and press statements to keep supporters informed and engaged.
