Settlers’ Park Pre-Primary School is an independent, co-educational and multiracial early-learning school in Pietermaritzburg. Its vision is to create a welcoming environment where children can grow into happy, secure and independent learners with positive self-esteem and strong social skills. The school aims to support each child’s physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual development, while recognising individual needs and encouraging curiosity, creativity and problem-solving.

Learning is designed to help children think and act for themselves. Child-sized materials and accessible, carefully arranged equipment allow pupils to explore, make choices and take part in everyday activities. The school offers a teaching programme, educational visits and a daily children’s programme, as well as aftercare and extracurricular activities. Its community values sharing, honesty, fairness, mutual respect and care, and the school encourages open relationships and involvement between parents and teachers. Settlers’ Park also provides information about admissions, fees, events, term timetables and newsletters, and invites prospective families to view its facilities through a virtual tour.
