Seven Churches Irish Whiskey is a brand inspired by Clonmacnoise, a sixth-century monastic site on the River Shannon in the heart of Ireland. The site is known for its cathedral, two round towers, three high crosses and seven churches, as well as its history as a centre of religion, learning, craftsmanship and trade. The brand draws on this heritage and on the Annals of Clonmacnoise, which it cites in connection with the earliest record of whiskey, dating to 1405.
It presents its whiskey as a contemporary reimagining of an ancient spirit and an homage to the place’s cultural legacy. Through its online shop, Seven Churches invites customers to explore its Irish whiskey offering. The brand also shares cocktail ideas that encourage new ways to enjoy whiskey, including a Seven Churches Orange Chocolate Old-Fashioned and Seven Churches Irish Coffee, alongside whiskey-inspired recipes such as boozy Easter chocolate brownies.
