About University Industry Foundation
The University Industry Foundation (UIF) is a division of the Yonsei University Health System (YUHS) in South Korea. Founded in 2001, its mission is to promote research, strengthen research capacity, and manage research efficiently at YUHS. UIF-YUHS works closely with the graduate school of public health, college of medicine, college of dentistry, and college of nursing to facilitate research and technology transfer.
Since its establishment in 2013, UIF-YUHS has made significant contributions to the field of medical and bio-research. With a focus on identifying and creating breakthrough solutions for global health challenges, UIF-YUHS has registered over 2,000 patents, licensed more than 130 bio and medical technologies, and has successfully launched over 15 spin-off companies.
