Sevetu

Sevetu is a digital platform that helps households in India find home-service professionals, including cooks, maids, cleaners, nannies, newborn-care attendants, elder-care workers and drivers. Available through its Android and iPhone apps, the service connects families with applicants for nearby jobs and supports professionals looking for work close to home.

Households can post a job with the role, schedule and budget, then compare applicants’ experience and profile details. Sevetu highlights ID-checked profiles, provides secure in-app chat that keeps phone numbers private, and lets both parties document agreed salary, hours, duties and leave in a digital work agreement. The platform states that it does not charge commission on a professional’s salary.

Sevetu also offers job-search tools for professionals, including profiles that showcase skills and work history, as well as city-specific hiring information and practical guides on topics such as pay, safety, police verification and employment agreements. Its app and information are available in English and several Indian languages, including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati and Marathi.
