About Sewerby Hall
Sewerby Hall and Gardens is a heritage and family attraction near Bridlington in East Yorkshire, set in 50 acres of historic parkland on a clifftop overlooking the coast. Managed by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, it brings together a Grade I listed country house, landscaped gardens and a small zoo, offering visitors a varied day out throughout the year.
The Georgian hall, built between 1714 and 1720 and later expanded, is presented as an Edwardian country house, with furnished rooms featuring pieces from the Victoria and Albert Museum and other collections. Outside, visitors can explore the Walled, Pleasure and Rose Gardens, as well as woodland walks and parkland. Sewerby Zoo is home to mammals and birds including penguins, capuchin monkeys, pygmy goats, deer and llamas; visitors can also adopt an animal for a year.
The attraction offers day and annual passes, seasonal events and activities, group and education visits, and facilities including a café and shop.
