About Sexual Minorities Africa
SEMA is a South African non-profit organization dedicated to upholding the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex (LGBTQI+) individuals. Operating in East Africa as well, SEMA provides a range of essential services, including clinical care for sexual health, counseling, support groups, a helpline, community outreach, and legal support for victims of hate crimes.
At SEMA, we believe in promoting LGBTQ+ health and support, community engagement, empowerment, research, and advocacy. Our services aim to ensure that all members of the LGBTQI+ community, including asylum seekers and refugees, have access to the resources and care they need to live their lives fully and authentically.
Join us in our mission to create a more inclusive and just society for all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Stand with SEMA for equality, acceptance, and empowerment for every member of our diverse family.
