About SFAC
Saint Frances Animal Center is a nonprofit animal welfare organization serving Georgetown County, South Carolina. For 38 years, it has worked to save animals and connect them with caring homes through adoption, foster care, and community support. Located in Georgetown, the center offers available pets for adoption and helps prospective adopters find a suitable companion. Its adoption process includes veterinary care, with community members noting that animals receive vaccinations, spay or neuter procedures, microchips, and temperament assessments.
The center also provides foster opportunities, including support for animals with medical needs, and welcomes volunteers to assist with its work. Its veterinary services include a low-cost clinic, wellness care, preventative products, and spay and neuter services. The organization also offers Trap-Neuter-Release services and free microchipping events, and shares pet information and lost-and-found resources. Community members can contribute through donations, legacy giving, and dedicated funds, or take part in events and outreach. Through lifesaving care and practical services, Saint Frances Animal Center supports animals and pet owners across its community.
