About SFC
The Société Française de Cardiologie, established in 1937 by Charles Laubry, is a scholarly society dedicated to advancing research in cardiovascular diseases. Under the leadership of President Pr Bernard IUNG as of January 2024, the SFC boasts over 5,000 members and is governed by a voluntary Bureau of 9 cardiologists. It encompasses all scientific and medical aspects of the specialty through its various communities.
The SFC offers essential publications for practitioners, including the Archives of Cardiovascular Diseases (ACVD) and Archives of Cardiovascular Diseases - Practice (AMCVP), which feature recommendations, expert opinions, and professional documents. Additionally, the Foundation Heart & Research, established in 2010 by the SFC, supports cardiovascular research projects aimed at reducing the impact of heart diseases on the population.
