About Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls
The Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls, established on November 12, 1889, by Pope Leo XIII, plays a vital role in the spiritual and community life of eastern South Dakota. With roots extending across the region, it now encompasses the area east of the Missouri River, serving over 120,000 baptized members under the leadership of Most Rev. Donald E. DeGrood.
