About San Francisco Suicide Prevention
San Francisco Suicide Prevention (SFSP) has been providing emotional support to the San Francisco community since 1962. As a trusted and reliable resource, SFSP offers a range of services to those in need. For immediate assistance, SFSP operates a 24/7 Crisis Line that can be reached at (415) 781-0500.
Additionally, individuals can access the 24/7 Text Line by texting (415) 200-2920. These confidential hotlines are staffed by trained volunteers who provide empathetic and compassionate support. SFSP also offers various programs aimed at suicide prevention and mental health awareness.
Their Grief Support Group provides peer-based in-person services tailored to those who have experienced loss. The Youth Outreach Coordinator conducts workshops in schools, equipping students with prevention tools. Additionally, SFSP conducts Community Outreach through onsite visits, raising awareness about suicide and offering crisis intervention training.
Furthermore, SFSP provides opportunities for individuals to get involved and make a difference. Interested individuals can contribute by making a charitable donation or becoming a volunteer.
