Sportfischereiverein Monzingen e. V. is a community angling club founded on 28 March 1957 and based in the Nahe Valley, near the Hunsrück in Germany. The club manages around five kilometres of fishing waters, extending from the former weir at Merxheim to a point near the shooting club in Monzingen’s industrial area. Its waters offer a plentiful fish population, and the club highlights its attractive fishing spots, well-organised community and friendly relationships with neighbouring angling clubs.
Members come from a wide range of backgrounds and share opportunities to fish, take part in club activities and build their angling knowledge. The club also offers information about angling preparation courses for those seeking a fishing licence, along with details about membership, fishing locations and fish stocking.
Social events are an important part of club life. The annual Fischerfest brings members together in a relaxed setting at the Kaisergarten, while an every-other-year mystery day trip offers a surprise destination.
