The State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic (SFŽP ČR) is a national fund that has supported projects to improve the country’s environment since 1992. It helps households, municipalities, public bodies and other applicants access funding for environmental and energy-related improvements. Its portfolio includes grants, preferential loans and other financial instruments, sometimes combining loans with grant support.

Key initiatives include the New Green Savings program, which supports home renovations such as insulation, window replacement, solar panels and heat pumps. The fund also administers support through the Operational Programme Environment, the National Environment Programme and the EU Modernisation Fund. These initiatives cover areas including energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste, water and cleaner transport. Funding is available for projects such as renovating public buildings and modernising regional rail services and energy infrastructure.

SFŽP ČR also provides energy advice for households and local governments, publishes guidance and updates, and offers information about funding opportunities and application processes.
