SG SWM

SG Stadtwerke München (SG-SWM) is a Munich-based competitive swimming community founded in 2007. It brings together four local clubs: Damen-Schwimm-Verein München, Männer-Schwimm-Verein München, Freier Wassersportverein München and Schwimmverein München 1899. Its aim is to enable and promote competitive and elite-level aquatic sport in the city, with training and competition opportunities across swimming, artistic swimming, water polo and diving.

The organization works with the Bavarian Swimming Association to operate state training centers for swimming and artistic swimming in Bavaria. It also provides professional training structures for performance-level water polo and diving. Through its four disciplines, SG-SWM supports athletes pursuing high-level sport and offers a shared team environment shaped by its member clubs and coaches.

The organization’s website shares news, event dates, training information and contacts for each discipline. Recent updates highlight results at Bavarian and German competitions, including open-water swimming and age-group championships. SG Stadtwerke München is based on Thaddäus-Eck-Straße in Munich and presents itself as a local club community focused on aquatic performance.
