San Gabriel Fly Fishers (SGFF) is a community club for people interested in fly fishing, bringing members together to share knowledge, develop skills, and enjoy the sport in a friendly and welcoming setting. Its mission is to provide a forum for exchanging information about fly-fishing techniques while encouraging friendship and good sportsmanship. The club is a member of Fly Fishers International, an organization established in 1965 to educate outdoor enthusiasts and represent fly fishers on issues affecting fisheries, from mountain streams to the oceans.
SGFF holds meetings on the third Tuesday of each month in Georgetown, Texas. Meetings are open to the public, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the program beginning at 7:00 p.m. Members can take part in members-only outings, casting workshops, educational presentations by industry professionals, and special events. The club also shares meeting and event news through a monthly newsletter and social media. Prospective members can learn about membership and contact club officers for more information or to join the newsletter.
