Singapore Internet Exchange (SGIX) is one of Asia’s largest open and neutral Internet Exchanges, playing a pivotal role in strengthening Singapore’s position as a leading information and communications hub in the Asia-Pacific. Our mission is to build a more interconnected, resilient, and competitive Internet ecosystem by attracting both international and regional carriers to make Singapore their primary Internet hub, while encouraging global content providers to host their digital assets locally. Established in 2009 with support from the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), SGIX operates as a not-for-profit, industry-owned provider. This structure ensures neutrality and open access for all peering members, fostering a fair, transparent, and efficient platform to exchange Internet traffic.

Sgix (Singapore Internet Exchange) is the largest not-for-profit Internet Exchange (IX) in Singapore, dedicated to bringing the internet world closer. Their mission is to enhance network performance for all peering members by promoting efficient exchange of internet traffic and reducing overall interconnectivity costs.
