Spa Genève

The Société Genevoise pour la Protection des Animaux (SGPA), also known as SPA Genève, is an animal welfare organisation in Geneva, Switzerland. Its main mission is to welcome and protect abandoned animals, providing a safe refuge and care tailored to their needs while helping them find loving homes. The animals receive veterinary attention and benefit from dedicated facilities, including catteries, outdoor areas and an infirmary. The team also supports their wellbeing through walks, education and socialisation, with volunteers helping provide companionship and daily attention.

SGPA offers adoption services for cats, dogs and small pets, including rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and gerbils. Prospective adopters can learn about the adoption process and meet animals awaiting a family. The organisation also arranges volunteer dog walks, shares guidance on animal rights and online safety, and invites members and supporters to take part in its work. Visitors can attend events such as open days, while former adopters are encouraged to share stories about their companions.
