About SGS
Starfsgreinasamband Íslands (SGS) is the largest trade union organization in Iceland, representing over 72,000 members and serving as the largest affiliate within ASÍ. The main purpose of SGS is to unite labor organizations in the fight for improved conditions, safeguard acquired rights, be a leading force in the labor movement, and provide a platform for discussions on social development in the interest of wage earners.
SGS offers a wide range of services and resources for its members. These include agreements on wages and working conditions, with both main and special agreements tailored to different industries and sectors.
