SGW

Sekcja Grotołazów Wrocław (SGW) is a Wrocław-based caving club whose members pursue underground exploration, mountain activities and climbing in Poland and abroad. The club shares reports from its expeditions and trips, covering destinations such as the Tatras, Rjukan, Finale Ligure and Turkey. Its domestic activities include caving and climbing projects, route and equipment work, and trips and examinations for course participants. SGW also offers training, including courses in cave mountaineering, and publishes practical resources such as a Polish-English caving glossary.

The club’s website introduces its history, governing board, statutes and activities, while providing photographs, films, news and articles by members. It also announces events, training opportunities and gatherings, and remembers people connected with the section. SGW is affiliated with the Polish Mountaineering Association and its Commission for Cave Mountaineering. Through its expeditions, instruction and shared accounts, the section brings together people interested in caving, climbing and mountain exploration, and provides a place to follow its ongoing activities and learn about its community.
