Shades of Blue is a brand dedicated to supporting women of color throughout their journey before, during, and after childbirth. With a focus on maternal mental health, the brand strives to change the current diagnosis and treatment methods for women who experience adverse outcomes after giving birth. Through their Acknowledge, Respect, and Support (ARS) method, Shades of Blue aims to revolutionize the way healthcare professionals and systems engage with patients.
The Shades of Blue Project aims to break cultural barriers in maternal mental health by raising awareness and dismantling the stigma surrounding seeking treatment in minority communities. They respect every woman and her birth story, recognizing that no two experiences are the same. In addition to advocacy and education, Shades of Blue offers online support groups and a comprehensive care package program that provides basic needs support.
