Shah Hemp Inno-Ventures, led by Nivedita Bansal and Dhiraj K. Shah, is a social enterprise based in Nepal that is revolutionizing the use of wild-grown hemp. With a mission to promote fair employment, economic growth, climate change mitigation, and eco-friendly construction, Shah Hemp Inno-Ventures is transforming hemp into a catalyst for positive change.

Founded in 2015, Shah Hemp Inno-Ventures combines the technical expertise of Dhiraj, a wireless communications engineer, and the social consciousness of Nivedita, a psychologist and life coach. Together, they work with local stakeholders to create meaningful employment opportunities and develop sustainable hemp-based products. Their work includes the production of hempcrete construction materials, hemp bags and accessories, as well as hemp seeds and oils.

The products are made through a small-scale processing facility, utilizing local natural resources and hiring locals to support their community. Shah Hemp Inno-Ventures is committed to maximizing productivity and minimizing waste through lean manufacturing principles and a 5Rs approach (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle).
