Jordan Start, established in 2016 as Luminus Shamal Start, supports entrepreneurs in Jordan, with a particular focus on the country’s north. Its mission is to help young people turn innovative ideas into sustainable businesses, especially in the innovative manufacturing sector. The organization combines business acceleration with seed investment, offering entrepreneurs access to funding, networking opportunities and practical guidance as they develop and grow their ventures.
Jordan Start also operates FabLab Irbid, a digital fabrication laboratory where makers and innovators can prototype and create products using fabrication resources. Its education programs cover digital fabrication and the fundamentals of starting, sustaining and growing a business, alongside professional guidance on making effective use of available resources. Through these services, the organization helps founders move from an early concept toward a working business and product.
Jordan Start reports having incubated more than 185 startups, trained over 650 teams, helped create more than 700 direct jobs and provided $2.8 million in seed funding.
