Shane Mauss is a stand-up comedian, science communicator, and mind explorer. Hailing from a small town in Wisconsin, he pursued his childhood dream of stand-up comedy, showcasing his dry wit and cerebral absurdism on popular platforms like Comedy Central, Conan, and Netflix. However, Shane's thirst for knowledge led him to delve into bigger ideas.

He started a science podcast called Here We Are, where he interviews scientists from different universities on topics like psychology, biology, and neuroscience. As podcasting gained popularity, Shane became a regular guest on renowned podcasts such as Duncan Trussell’s Family Hour and Pete Holmes' ‘You Made It Weird. ’ He also embarked on a sold-out psychedelic comedy tour called 'A Good Trip,' partnering with MAPS and capturing his experiences in the documentary 'Psychonautics: A Comic’s Exploration of Psychedelics.

' When Covid forced him to halt his touring, Shane used the time to restructure his business. In 2021, he launched the comedy and philosophy podcast Mind Under Matter in collaboration with visual artist Ramin Nazer. They also organized the Mind Under Matter Campout Festival, a unique event combining bands, science talks, comedy shows, and visionary artists.

Currently, Shane has partnered with Area15 in Vegas for his residency show 'A Better Trip. ' This groundbreaking comedy show, starting on April 23, uses Shane's diverse skills to explore big ideas with levity, visuals, and atmosphere. Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind experience!
