Shannon Serrano

Shannon Serrano is a student midwife, birth doula, and childbirth educator serving families in Washington, DC, Maryland, and the surrounding DMV region. Formerly known as Shannon Your Doula, she has attended more than 600 births and provided women’s health education for over 12 years. As she completes her clinical requirements, Shannon has scaled back her doula practice and currently accepts a limited number of clients for virtual and consulting support. She plans to offer midwifery services after completing her requirements and passing the NARM board exam.

Shannon helps clients make informed choices and shape care around their goals through birth consultations, virtual doula support, childbirth education, and women’s health consultations. Her services include guidance on providers and birth settings, pregnancy and labor options, birth preferences, comfort measures, and postpartum preparation. Families can choose private live classes or prerecorded courses, including Birth Prep with Shan, and book a 30-minute “Pick My Brain” session for questions about perinatal, newborn, doula, or women’s health topics.
