Shaolin Academyof Martial Arts

Shaolin Academy of Martial Arts (SAMA 4S Ranch) is a family-led martial arts school serving San Diego’s 4S Ranch and Rancho Bernardo communities. Established in 2006, the academy offers expert instruction in karate, Shaolin Kempo, kickboxing, and self-defense in a supportive environment focused on respect, confidence, and personal growth. Its programs serve students from preschool age through adulthood, with training tailored to different ages, experience levels, and learning styles.

Children ages 3 to 4 can explore First Kicks, an age-appropriate introduction to karate that develops coordination, listening skills, and confidence. The Comprehensive program offers personalized lessons and group classes for ages 5 and up, while the Martial Arts Team Track provides collaborative instruction for children ages 8 to 12. Teens and adults ages 13 and older can join Muay Thai kickboxing classes, with no prior experience required. SAMA also arranges private and group self-defense sessions for individuals, teams, and organizations. Located on Thornmint Road, the school provides flexible training options and invites prospective students to book a free lesson.
