Shaolin MATC

Shao-Lin Martial Arts Training Center (Shaolin M.A.T.C.) has provided traditional Chinese martial arts instruction to the Mid-Ohio Valley since 1995. The school combines martial arts training with an emphasis on character building, leadership skills, self-confidence, and self-esteem, welcoming students who want to challenge themselves and grow.

Its instruction covers a range of traditional styles, including Northern Longfist, Shantung Black Tiger, and Hua Mountain Fist. Students can also study Tai Chi, Pa Kua, Hsing-I, and traditional weapon styles. The center describes Shaolin Kung Fu, or Shaolinquan, as a martial art developed at China’s Shaolin Temple and rooted in a long history. Tai Chi is presented as both a martial art and a practice associated with health and personal development.

The center offers classes at its Mid-Ohio Valley location, with weekday evening sessions and Saturday morning training. Visitors can explore the school’s classes or contact the center to learn more about its traditional Chinese martial arts programs.
