Shaolin Wushu Canada is a martial arts school based in Calgary, Alberta, where Chin Hock Tan teaches traditional Shaolin practices. The school draws on the long history of Shaolin martial arts, whose teachings originated near Songshan Mountain in Henan Province, China, and have spread around the world over more than 1,500 years. Its programs include Shaolin martial arts, Qi Gong, and Tai Chi, offering students opportunities to explore different traditions of movement and practice.
Tan brings more than 50 years of martial arts experience to his teaching. He aims to share this experience while preserving the martial tradition of the Reverend Sek Koh Sam style. Shaolin Wushu Canada presents its classes as a way to engage with the heritage and practice of Chinese martial arts. Prospective students can learn more about the training programs through the school’s website and contact the instructor by phone. The site also features information about the school’s lineage and background, along with a gallery and a link to its Facebook page.
