TERN

TERN is a pioneering initiative focused on enhancing the collection and dissemination of data related to Australian terrestrial ecosystems. Their SHaRED Data Submission Tool serves as a vital platform, simplifying the capture of metadata and data in a standardized format, ultimately allowing for comprehensive publication through the TERN Data Portal. TERN is affiliated with The University of Queensland, ensuring a robust academic and research-oriented foundation for its operations.

The organization plays a crucial role in supporting environmental research and conservation efforts, backed by funding from the Australian Government via the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS). In addition to its core data management tools, TERN offers a range of resources including project updates, data releases, and insightful research findings. Their commitment to accessibility and collaboration is evident, inviting users to subscribe for the latest stories and developments directly in their inbox. By fostering a standardized approach to ecosystem data, TERN aims to empower researchers, policy-makers, and the broader community in understanding and preserving Australia's diverse ecosystems.
