Sharehub is a New Zealand peer-to-peer hire marketplace that connects people and event planners with local owners and hire businesses. Its focus is making it easier to find equipment and supplies for birthdays, weddings, corporate functions and other celebrations. Listings can include marquees, tables and chairs, lighting, sound equipment, inflatables, décor, catering equipment and event packages. Renters can browse by category or location, select dates, book through the platform, and arrange collection or delivery directly with the owner.

Sharehub also helps owners and businesses promote their hire inventory, set prices and availability, manage booking requests, and reach new customers. Listing is free, and the platform charges a commission when a booking is successfully made. Payments and optional security deposits are handled through Stripe, while item handovers and returns are confirmed through the platform. Sharehub promotes clear communication, responsible care of hired items and support for local communities, helping keep useful equipment in circulation while connecting customers with nearby suppliers.
