About BlueRibbon Coalition
The BlueRibbon Coalition (BRC), also known as ShareTrails, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving motorized access to public lands through advocacy, education, and community engagement. Established in 1987, BRC emerged from a grassroots movement that sought to assert the rights of recreationists against restrictive land use policies. With a mission to protect and promote recreational access to trails and natural areas, BRC advocates for responsible off-highway vehicle (OHV) use and defends the interests of outdoor enthusiasts in legislative and legal arenas.
BRC offers a range of services including membership programs, partnerships with businesses, and a comprehensive legal action fund to support recreational access rights. They engage with the community through initiatives like the Accessible Recreation campaign and the Dispersed Camping Access Alliance. The coalition also produces ShareTrails Magazine, providing members with vital information on public land issues and trail advocacy. Through proactive involvement, the BRC continues to empower recreationists nationwide to fight for their rights to explore and enjoy America's vast landscapes.
