Sharework is a French-language website described as a platform for finding films, television series, games, software, and music. Its catalog is presented as broad and regularly updated, with content accessible through torrent files, magnet links, direct downloads, and streaming. The site says users can browse and search without registering or paying, and its categories and navigation are intended to make discovery straightforward. Torrent downloads use peer-to-peer sharing, in which users receive file fragments from other participants and may share downloaded fragments in return.

Sharework has faced controversy and access restrictions in various countries because its distribution of copyrighted material may violate copyright laws. As a result, the site has reportedly changed addresses, and access can vary depending on a user’s location and internet provider. The scraped information also warns that third-party proxy sites may carry security risks, including intrusive advertising or malware. Sharework is therefore best understood as a content-download and streaming site whose availability and legal status may differ by jurisdiction.
