Sharper Millinery is a Birmingham-based British millinery studio founded on more than 20 years of craft experience. Led by Sally Harper-Kenn, the brand creates hand-crafted, made-to-order hats and headpieces for weddings, racing events and other special occasions. Each piece is designed around the client, with a personal consultation to discuss the event, outfit, colours and preferred silhouette.
Sally develops a unique design and selects suitable fabrics and trims before hand-blocking and finishing the headpiece in the studio. Materials include sinamay, silks, feathers and hand-formed flowers. A final fitting helps ensure comfort and balance, and typical production takes four to six weeks, with rush options available on request.
The collections include The Queen’s Collection, Racing, Bridal Neutrals, Summer and Winter styles, alongside fully bespoke designs. Sharper Millinery offers consultations in person or remotely and serves clients by appointment in Birmingham and Solihull, with free UK delivery. In 2026, the studio received a Recognised for Excellence Award at The Nation’s Wedding Awards
