Shavei Israel is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping descendants of Jews and members of the Lost Tribes reconnect with their Jewish heritage and, where they choose, return to the Jewish people. Founded by Michael Freund, the organization aims to strengthen ties among Jewish communities, the State of Israel, and people of Jewish ancestry around the world. It is active in more than a dozen countries and works with communities including Bnei Menashe, Bnei Anousim, hidden Jews of Poland, Kaifeng Jews, Subbotnik Jews, and other emerging groups.

Shavei Israel provides guidance and practical assistance to people exploring their heritage, including support for aliyah and organized conversion learning through Machon Miriam and Machon Milton. Its programs also include lectures, events, and the Ma’ani Center. The organization shares information and community stories through articles, publications, personal accounts, multimedia, and cultural materials such as traditional clothing, music, recipes, and books. Through outreach, education, and community support, Shavei Israel seeks to help people who wish to renew their connection with Jewish life.
