Shelby Hayes is a talented background designer and painter based in LA. With a strong passion for storytelling, Shelby understands the power of captivating an audience, especially in animation and video games. With extensive experience in the industry, Shelby has worked as a Background Artist for ShadowMachine on the acclaimed series Ten Year Old Tom for HBO Max.

Collaborating closely with the Art Director, Shelby excels at creating captivating backgrounds and props that enhance the overall visual aesthetic of the show. Currently, Shelby is serving as a Visual Development Artist on an exciting and yet-to-be-announced animated series called Bit Wars. In this role, Shelby works closely with various design teams, contributing to the creation of the series' tone, mood, and overall culture.

Shelby holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honors from California State University Long Beach. To further enhance her skills, she has also taken an online course with Mark Wabe, focusing on building immersive worlds for animation.
