Shelter Cymru is a Welsh housing and homelessness charity that exists to defend everyone’s right to a safe home. It supports people across Wales with free, independent advice and practical help, aiming to reduce homelessness and address the wider housing emergency affecting individuals and communities. Its online guidance covers topics including renting, homelessness, finding a place to live, eviction, paying for housing, and repairs or poor housing conditions. The charity also provides resources for young people and professional audiences, alongside information on its policy, research, training and events.

People can contact Shelter Cymru for housing help or get involved in its work through volunteering, fundraising, running events and campaigning for a fairer housing system. Donations, including monthly gifts and legacies, help fund its advice and support services. Its shop sells gifts, handmade items and Shelter Cymru-branded merchandise, with purchases helping to support the charity’s work. Through advice, services and public action, Shelter Cymru works to challenge homelessness and promote the right to a secure, suitable home in Wales.
