Shelter Origins is a dedicated non-governmental organization based in the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, established in 2010 after Habitat for Humanity's departure from the country. The organization's mission is to provide decent, safe, sanitary, and affordable housing for underprivileged individuals, regardless of their religious beliefs. Shelter Origins aims to address the escalating global housing crisis, as millions of people live in substandard conditions, perpetuating the cycle of poverty for generations. By empowering families to achieve home ownership, they facilitate a pathway out of poverty and into a more secure future.

In addition to building homes in four states across Nigeria, Shelter Origins also offers microfinance services through partnerships to enable families to improve their living conditions. The organization is committed to transparency, integrity, and service to the community, while fostering collaborations that enhance healthcare and economic development. With a vision of ensuring home ownership for all, Shelter Origins advocates for a future where every family has a safe place to call home.
