Shen Dao Egyesület

Shen Dao Association is a Hungarian organization dedicated to preserving, researching, teaching, and practicing Taoist traditions. Active since 1989, it connects traditional teachings with regular instruction and community activities. Its approach is built around the Five Elements, also described as Five Changing States, and the Three Treasures: Jing, the body and material reality; Qi, energy and emotions; and Shen, consciousness and thought.

The association offers weekly classes across Hungary in Taijiquan and Qigong, guided by qualified instructors, as well as intensive workshops and retreats at its Three Treasures Valley retreat center. Its work also includes research into East Asian movement arts and Taoist traditions, translation, publications, and educational materials. Podcasts and recordings of lectures introduce the foundations of its teachings.

Shen Dao collaborates with Hungarian and international partners on workshops and Erasmus+ projects. In 2025, it organized its first fully independent Erasmus+ youth-worker mobility project, bringing together 28 participants from seven countries. The association also welcomes community support and shares annual reports about its activities.
