The Sexual Health Equity Project (SHE Project) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2023 to improve women’s healthcare through better education about female genital anatomy and sexual function. Its mission is to help prevent harm and support safer, more respectful care by equipping medical professionals with accurate knowledge.

SHE Project works with medical experts, educators, and policymakers to develop and promote improved learning materials and training standards. It also advocates directly with professional medical organizations, medical schools, residency programs, textbook authors, editors, and publishers to encourage concrete changes in medical education. The organization’s efforts build on founder Jessica Pin’s advocacy, which began before SHE Project was founded. By December 2023, her work had led to changes in 14 major medical textbooks, two leading anatomy apps, anatomy posters, and multiple online resources. Pin also appeared on The Daily Show in 2021 to discuss her advocacy.
