Shera Care is a public benefit corporation dedicated to addressing the urgent maternal mental health crisis in the United States. With a focus on specialized perinatal intensive mental health care, Shera Care aims to heal families by providing equitable, community-centered support. Recognizing that 1 in 5 new mothers experiences a perinatal mental health condition and that many do not receive necessary care, Shera Care is developing a model that bridges the gap between traditional outpatient therapy and crisis settings.

Their mission is to foster recovery and resilience for new families, offering a continuum of care that empowers individuals and strengthens community ties. The upcoming pilot clinic in Massachusetts will serve as the first step in expanding vital access to mental health services. Founded by Kriti, whose personal experiences inspired her advocacy, Shera Care embodies compassion and commitment to excellent, accessible care, ensuring that every family receives the support they need during this critical period of life
