Sherwood FC is a volunteer-run community football club based in Sherwood, Nottingham, established in the early 1990s. It brings together more than twenty teams, spanning junior football from Under 7s through to senior women’s football. The club provides opportunities for children and adults to take part in organized football, with a focus on teamwork, player development and fair play rather than results alone.
Its teams include boys’ and girls’ youth sides and a senior women’s team, and the club shares player profiles, team information, venue guidance and kit resources through its website. Sherwood FC is committed to creating a safe environment for children. Managers, coaches and other adults who regularly work with players are required to undergo Disclosure and Barring Service checks.
The organization is managed and operated by volunteers, and its monthly club meetings are open to all. Sherwood FC also provides information about its safeguarding policies, history, playing kit and football locations, supporting players, families and the wider community
