About Shetland Jewellery
Shetland Jewellery, originally known as Shetland Silvercraft, has a rich history dating back to 1953 when it was founded by Jack Rae in the breathtaking Shetland Isles. Jack trained as a Jeweller in Edinburgh before establishing his own business in St. Andrew Square, where he became one of the first in Scotland to achieve the prestigious qualification of FGA – Fellow of the Gemological Association.
In the 1970s, the current workshop was built and a major extension was added in 2003, symbolizing the growth and success of the brand. Today, under the management of Jack Rae's son Kenneth Rae, the Shetland Jewellery workshop and visitor centre employs a team of talented craftsmen and designers. Their intricate and beautifully crafted jewellery pieces are inspired by Norse mythology, local wildlife, archaeology, and feature modern Celtic designs.
Each piece is available in various metals and carries a lifetime guarantee, showcasing the brand's dedication to quality and craftsmanship. Shetland Jewellery is a true gem in the heart of the Shetland Isles
