Prostate Cancer Self-Help Group South Thuringia is a community supporting men affected by prostate cancer and their families. Meeting regularly since February 2003, the group provides a welcoming place to discuss diagnosis, treatment, concerns and personal experiences. Members share practical knowledge and emotional support, helping one another feel less isolated and better prepared to take part in decisions about care.

The group’s meetings aim to make information about prostate cancer and its treatment options understandable, with context drawn from members’ experiences. Participants can ask questions, exchange advice and talk openly about the challenges of living with the disease. Wives and partners are also welcome as guests. For additional guidance, the group invites doctors, psychologists and other specialists to its information events.

Meetings are generally held on the first Thursday of each month at 2:30 p.m. at the Mehrgenerationenhaus Sarterstift in Meiningen; dates may vary, so visitors should check the events information.
